Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
